The creeks of Cowlands and Coombe can be enjoyed nearby with walks to Roundwood Quay and Trelissick National Trust gardens and house. In neighbouring Feock The King Harry Ferry is the gateway to the beautiful Roseland Peninsula with its stunning beaches. Loe Beach at Feock is a great place for sailing, windsurfing and kayaking located on the edge of the Carrick Roads, arguably some of the finest sailing waters in the country. Further village facilities can be accessed on foot or bicycle at nearby Carnon Downs where there is a doctors surgery and mini supermarket. The Bissoe cycle trail can be accessed at Devoran with a largely off road trail ride all the way to Portreath on the North coast.
