In the heart of this highly desirable waterside village, a beautifully updated three bedroom cottage with gorgeous enclosed garden and parking area. Lots of character blended with everyday modern comforts. Handbuilt bespoke kitchen, log burner and modern bathroom suite.
A truly charming cottage which has been updated to provide the perfect blend of calm contemporary living whilst retaining the original character and heritage of this lovely home. Set within a pretty terrace just a short stroll from the quay and creek, this home is perfect as a full time residence or a holiday retreat. Stepping inside, the living room has a tranquil feel with white painted beams and a log burner - ideal for cosy evenings. There are lovely creek and rural views. The kitchen was designed and hand built with solid wood worktops and cabinets. There is ample space for the range cooker and the Belfast style sink completes the look. A slate floor is both practical, stylish and completely in keeping and a door leads to the rear garden. Kitchen suppers and family get togethers are easy with plenty of space for the table and chairs in the open plan dining area. Heading upstairs, the landing is spacious and a Velux style window lets in plenty of natural light. The master bedroom has French doors to the rear garden and sun deck and the exposed A frame beam is an excellent feature. The second bedroom is also a double and has fabulous creek views. Bedroom three is a good sized single. The family bathroom has been thoughtfully updated with a white suite and a rainwater shower over the bath. Again the exposed beam ceiling adds to the character. Excellent use of LED lighting can be seen throughout the cottage. The enclosed garden has a super deck/entertaining area and there are borders packed with mature shrubs. Steps lead to a lawned area. There is a parking area to the rear along with storage sheds. To the front of the property there is also space to park on the cobbled area. With gas central heating the cottage is efficient to run.
Devoran is a delightful creekside village with excellent amenities close at hand and a lovely community. There's a doctors surgery and village hall a level walk away and the village is served by regular buses to Truro and Falmouth. For active types the Bissoe Trail is popular with cyclists, walkers and runners and goes all the way to Portreath on the North Coast. Of course you may prefer to Kayak or paddleboard to The Pandora Inn (or The Norway Inn for that matter). The Yummy Scrummy Bakery does great coffee and cake and Devoran Primary School is highly regarded. Situated between Truro and Falmouth, Devoran really is a fantastic place to live! If you are looking for a lovely village local pub, The Old Quay Inn which is a short walk away is hard to beat.
